2024 4th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Control Sciences (IC2ECS 2024) was successfully concluded in Nanjing on December 28, 2024. The conference, co-sponsored by Nanjing Normal University and Guangxi University, aims to build a platform for experts, scholars and technicians in electrical equipment manufacturing, control systems and power machinery design and development to share scientific research results and cutting-edge technologies.


Opening Ceremony


The opening ceremony of the conference was launched with warm applause, and the moderator, Professor Min Fuhong, on behalf of Nanjing Normal University, briefly introduced the history and importance of the conference. She pointed out that the conference brought together top scholars and experts at home and abroad, covering multiple directions of electrical engineering and control science, and expressed sincere gratitude to the supporting units of the conference.

In his welcoming speech, Prof. Wu Hui, Chairman of Universite Malaysia, 锽, warmly welcomed the participants and expressed his sincere thanks to all the experts and scholars. He looked forward to further promoting international cooperation and scientific and technological innovation, and promoting the deep integration between academia and industry through this conference.

Keynote Speech


The presentation session in the morning was remarkable. First of all, Professor Bai Jianbo, deputy dean of the New Energy School of Hohai University and winner of a number of scientific and technological progress awards, made a report entitled "Photovoltaic Power plant design and operation and maintenance integration technology and intelligent application", sharing the latest research and practical experience in the field of photovoltaic, which was highly praised by the participants.

Then, Professor Wu Hui (CSEE, IET Fellow) from Universiti Thayer Malaysia 锽 introduced the theme of Digital Twin in Power Engineering to Improve Efficiency and Reliability through online form, and expounded the importance and practicability of digital twin technology for power engineering industry.

Subsequently, Professor Gu Zhou, director of the IEEE EPS Special Committee of Anhui University of Technology, discussed in depth how network communication affects the frequency control of power system in the context of network communication, and stressed the importance of ensuring the stability of power system in the context of the rapid development of information technology.

Finally, Professor Liu Xiaogang of Wuhan University of Technology [Fellow of Higher Education Academy] brought a report entitled "Real-time Torque Control of embedded Permanent magnet synchronous motor". His research results in intelligent manufacturing and electromechanical control demonstrate the potential of embedded permanent magnet synchronous motors for real-time torque control.

Poster Presentation


After the keynote, a special poster session provided an opportunity for participants to meet face to face. The poster authors explained their research results in detail in the exhibition area, and experts and peers also actively participated in the evaluation. The participants enjoyed a tea break after the poster presentation for further discussion and exchange.

Sub-conference Presentation Session


The afternoon session continued, with Associate Professor Hailong Zhang from Nanjing Normal University moderating. First of all, Zhang Feng, professor level senior engineer [IET Fellow] of State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Co., Ltd. made an in-depth explanation on the topic of "Virtual Power Plant Key Technology and Business Model Analysis". As a technical expert, Professor Zhang discussed the key technologies involved in virtual power plants and their commercial applications in future energy management, inspiring the participants to think about the field of new energy.

Next, Professor Adrian David Cheok (IET Fellow, Fellow of Engineers Australia) from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology shared his research results on "Omnipresent Sensory Communication" online. This paper proposes an alternative ubiquitous computing environment and space based on integrated design of real world and virtual world.

In the following oral presentation session, 15 young scholars from Jordan University, National University of Defense Technology, Tongji University, Shandong University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology and other universities shared their latest research results, demonstrating the innovation and vitality of the young generation in the field of electrical engineering and control science.

Appraise and Select


The final session of the conference was highly anticipated, and the organizing committee commended the participants for their outstanding performance. The winners of the best oral presentations, outstanding papers and posters received awards and certificates, highlighting their outstanding contributions to the field of research.。

Summary and Prospect


At the closing ceremony, representatives of the organizers summarized the meeting. He said that the successful holding of IC2ECS 2024 not only promoted academic exchanges and cooperation in various fields, but also laid a solid foundation for the development of electrical and control science in the future. The participants discussed future research directions and expected to make more contributions to innovation and technology application.
